Day 56: Yakety Yak

Friday night chats with my sister usually last a long time. Tonight we talked for an hour and a half.

Day 55: Whipped

Can't wait to put some of this in a mug of hot chocolate.

Day 54: Don't Leave Home Without It

Because if you do, as my husband found out, you'll have to call your wife at work and have her drive the 10 miles home to open the door for you so you won't be stranded outside all day.

Not sure how much I'll pay when I have to fill up at the end of this week.

The scouts place these flags around the neighborhood - I love seeing them line the streets.

Day 51: Peek-A-Boo

I wanted to get a picture of the tree in the front that was covered in snow, but I found this. I guess Punxsutawney Phil was right! (And, this picture was taken today...not yesterday!)

Day 48: Lights Out

Just because something is energy-efficient doesn't always mean that it will last as long as the package says. This is the third one we've bought in less than a year. I'm going back to the cheap bulbs.

Day 47: Be My Valentine

I missed the party on Monday, but it's nice to know the students enjoy having me for a teacher.

Day 46: Scaredy Cat

After surgery, Steve had to be sent home with some oxygen (just as a precaution, nothing serious). The cat was freaked out by the machine. It sounds exactly like our dishwasher and she doesn't even bat an eyelash about that! She hid under the bed all afternoon until it was turned off.

Day 45: The Verdict Is In

Surgery for Steve bright and early tomorrow - 6:00 a.m.

Day 44: Six More Weeks?

Hopefully I can put this away soon. I'm ready for spring!

My husband is so sweet to come and meet me at the door when I come home from work. I just wish this time he wouldn't have fallen down a few stairs and fractured his finger.

Bought from our school store today. Meet Antoine, Vestow and Andulay. These are their "new" names and they spoke in accents for the rest of the school day.

Home after 12 hours at work. The good news it that I only have one more day of parent teacher conferences. That's it for the rest of the year!
